During my college years I was a staff writer for the Big Ten University where I wrote weekly movie reviews while earning my Bachelor’s degree. I enjoyed the job as I constantly received free movie passes and press kits complete with still shots of the actors. A few times a week I had to attend movies and then write honest articles about the movies as many University students and staff looked to the newspaper as an Arts and Entertainment expert. Based on my reviews, people would decide which movies they would see. Knowing how very little income college students raked in I learned to be quite articulate and sometimes brutal to accurately get the point across whether myself and the rest of the press enjoyed a movie or hated it. Reviewing movies, for me, became somewhat of an art form, and something that stayed with me throughout my career as a professional writer and editor.
Chick Flicks Incognito is an experimental Web blog which lightheartedly plays with the concept of movie reviewing. A slight twisting of the words and any movie could sell itself as a hit.
Read and contribute to the Chick Flicks Incognito blog purely for entertainment.
